Welcome To Sunday School
All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
-- Isaiah 54:13
Children and young people under the age of twenty are invited to Sunday School. Students are taught the Scriptures and about God's great power and love for them. As they learn to view the world through a spiritual lens, students gain perspective and tools to meet the challenges in their daily lives.
The first lessons are the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy, and the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12). The older classes discuss the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly. Everyone learns from the Bible stories about God’s tender care, how to live in obedience to His laws, and about the life and healing works of Christ Jesus. They also learn how Mary Baker Eddy, a lifelong Bible student, followed Jesus’ example of healing. Students discover that they, too, can heal as Jesus and his disciples did.
Inspiring and joyful hymns open and close the Sunday School hour.
We would love to welcome your children to our Sunday School!
Babies and toddlers are welcome in our Children’s Room during Sunday services and Wednesday meetings. They are lovingly cared for by adult church members.
